The Community Foundation of Lorain County held its first community project, a pillow therapy workshop designed to foster a sense of healing, relaxation and comfort in making pillows and was looking for a way to share that with the women in the community.
The workshop participants learn how to make pillows and encourages them to open up about things that may be weighing them down. The workshops provide an outlet to alleviate stress, talk about things they are afraid of, concerned with, worried about, traumatized by or even just simply dealing with.
They build community for those involved because no one leaves without making a new friend.
