Skyart, A South Side Youth Arts Nonprofit, Set to Grow Thanks to $2.5 Million State Grant

SkyART, a South Side nonprofit, is moving ahead with an expansion of its longtime home.

The group aims to provide local youth with more free arts programs.

The state grant will help the organization either build an addition on a lot behind the facility or renovate a neighboring storefront.

SkyART hopes to start construction on the roughly 2,000 square feet of additions this year.
