A hundred nonprofits across the region are among recipients of more than $800,000 in grants recently awarded by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut.
Some of the recipients were United Community and Family Services, with $5,000 for its program providing primary health care to uninsured people and Norwich's St. Vincent de Paul Place with $1,500 to help run its food pantry.
