$5 Million in Grants from Gates Foundation

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced grants to nine community philanthropic partners in the Pacific Northwest to re-grant foundation money, supporting its goal of reducing intergenerational poverty.

With this initiative, the foundation aims to help expand local philanthropy through increased citizen engagement in local grant making decisions that will lead to community prioritized solutions focusing on local needs.
