Fairfax Housing Project Costs Prompt Land Selloff

Christ Lutheran Church has decided to sell its remaining 18 acres in Fairfax because of spiraling construction costs.

Victory Village, an affordable housing project for seniors, received final approval in June 2017.

The 54-unit project was delayed for nearly six years due in part to a vocal group of local opponents.

Some of those opponents now say RCD led the community to believe that the other 18 acres would be donated to the town as open space.
