The UK government is backing a collection of investment funds to provide at least 200 homes for rough sleepers in England.
It is the first time the housing department is using social investment to fund new homes.
The three-year pilot is being run by Big Society Capital and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) The pilot was cooked up more than a year ago, when the social investment organisations involved "came together to form a coordinated solution for tackling homelessness"
