"It is an honor to be recognized as a leading community," Katie Cristol-Watson, interim director of Arlington County's Housing and Economic Development Department, says.
"As a result, the County has become a hub for top tech talent, driving even greater interest in our area."
Cristol-Watson is referring to Arlington's latest honor: being named the top county in the nation in technology by the Missing County Study for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties.
This is the fifth year in a row that Arlington has won the top spot in the 150,000 to 249,999-population category, the Washington Post reports.
The survey looked at factors including public engagement, shared services, cybersecurity, and operations.
In a press release, Cristol-Watson says Arlington's success is due to its " investments in technology to better serve our residents, bolster the community, and create an environment where innovative companies can thrive."
In addition to winning the top spot in technology, Arlington was also named the "Most Digital County" in the Washington, DC, area last year.
