New Us Ambassador-Designate Arrives

"It is a great honor to be in beautiful TT with my family," new US ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago Candace Bond said in a statement released by the US Embassy on Thursday.

Bond, who was sworn in by Vice President Kamala Harris last month, arrived in the country with her family on Thursday and is expected to present her letters of credence to President Paula-Mae Weekes soon, reports Newsday.

Bond is married to entertainment executive Steven McKeever and they have two children, Brent and Maddox.
