"We stand for service."
That's what WSFS Financial Corporation's charitable giving arm, the WSFS CARES Foundation, says in a press release about its grants and donations to community organizations in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey in 2022.
Per the release, more than $2.4 million in grants and donations were made to more than 30 organizations in those three states.
Among the recipients: Brighter Horizon Foundation, which provides high school students in Pennsylvania with the opportunity to pursue a four-year college degree or a career in the trades; Food Bank of South Jersey, which provides food to people in need in New Jersey; and the Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence in Delaware.
"Our wrap-around services include academic support, tuition so each Scholar graduates debt-free, housing, meals, transportation, books; strategic and consistent mentorship, life-skills and professional development, financial literacy, and now vital mental health services," says Yvette Bright, president and CEO of Brighter Horizon Foundation.
