"The future of work is bright for employers who prioritize employee well-being." That's what the Corporate Health & Wellness Association has to say in its annual report on the state of work in the US, noting that more and more employers are starting to focus on employee health and well-being as a way to not just retain top talent, but to actually create a culture of well-being within the organization. A few of the top trends it cites in this year's report: Artificial intelligence: "By analyzing data on an individual’s health status, behaviors, and preferences, AI can help to identify the most effective interventions for that person." Virtual reality: " virtual reality programs, gamification, and other cutting-edge approaches." Perks: "One of the keys to success in employee well-being is creating a culture of well-being within the organization. This means that wellness is not just a perk or an afterthought, but a core value that is reflected in the company’s policies, practices, and day-to-day operations." Social determinants of health: "Factors like access to healthy food, safe housing, and quality healthcare can all play a role in an employee’s ability to achieve optimal health."
