The Canadian government is kicking in more than half a million dollars to two small businesses in Quebec that are hoping to make a go of it in the US.

Onge, minister of sport and minister responsible for Canada's Economic Development for Quebec Regions, announced the $725,000 in financial assistance to Interactive Playground and HOLOS Food Inc., two small businesses in the province that specialize in developing and marketing audiovisual equipment for the education sector, the CBC reports.
The money will be used "to boost the growth through the implementation of its international marketing strategy," St.
Onge says in a statement.
Interactive Playground will get $500,000, while HOLOS Food will receive $225,000 to "test new recipes and implement a marketing strategy that will enable it, among other things, to participate in international trade shows and thereby enter new markets, including the United States," St.

"Their contribution to Qu ? bec's economic vitality will be felt right across the region, Quebec, and Canada," he says.
HOLOS, for its part, "develops, prepares, and markets unique organic muesli recipes with high nutritional value," the statement says.
