The village's comprehensive plan was last updated in 2002.
A specialist will spearhead efforts to create a new version of the community's existing plan.
The plan will guide decisions on land use, housing, infrastructure and lakefront development, village administrator says.
If the endeavor proceeds on schedule, the comprehensive plan update should be completed by around May 2026, he says.
