Northern Trust employees gave more than 53,000 hours of their time in 2018 to charitya record for the company, CNBC reports.
According to the company's 2023 Philanthropic Impact Report, nearly $16 million was donated to non-profit organizations in the year ending Dec.
31 that work to provide food security, affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and quality education.
"Our employees logged record-breaking level of volunteerism in 2023, which shows one measure of how important our communities are to our company," Shana Hayes, the company's chief social impact officer, says in a press release.
Hayes adds that the company has donated more than $170 million to non-profit organizations over the past decade.
