A new plan for entrepreneurs is being offered by BizWorks Enterprise Center. This Center is a nonprofit organization that helps small business within the community grow. The Center received a grant from the state totaling $23,505.
BizWorks was established in 2002 and helps these young companies along the U.S. 1 corridor in the Richmond Virginia area. They help these businesses by giving space and support services. The grant money will help give training and mentoring services to people who plan to start their own business.
The Center in Chesterfield was one of ten applications received. Grants were given based on criteria such as organization, goals, and community development. This will greatly help develop and encourage under represented populations, minorities, and residents of the area.
