Lowell Festival Foundation Receives National Endowment for the Arts 788 Art Works Grant

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) announced that The Lowell Festival Foundation is one of 788 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive a NEA Art Works grant. The Lowell Festival Foundation is recommended for a $30,000 grant to support the 2012 Lowell Folk Festival.

NEA Chairman Landesman said that the arts should be a part of everyday life. The 788 Art Works grants support the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, public engagement with diverse and excellent art, lifelong learning in the arts, and the strengthening of communities through the arts.
