California FreshWorks Fund

The California FreshWorks Fund (FreshWorks) project of The California Endowment added $125 million in capital to help make store expansion and new forms of distribution possible by providing access to alternative financing options, and incentives to invest in projects located in low supermarket access areas.

President and CEO Robert K. Ross, M.D. said that the California FreshWorks fund aims to allow all families have access to healthy, nutritious food.
