Canton Education Foundation awarded a grant to the Canton High School. The grant in the amount of $6,000 will be used to fund ideas of the school that are not funded in the town’s budget. The foundation was able to fund 4 of 9 proposals it received, two of which will take advantage of a fiber optic project this summer that will make the school a Wi-Fi capable building.
Among the teachers who received the grant was Music teacher Brett Gotthiemer, Special Education teacher Melissa Cook as well as Chemistry teacher Betty Hagymasi. The final grant was allotted for the “Boys on the Move” club which will involve adventure and mentoring.
