The Hampton Roads Community Foundation awarded $1.9 million in scholarships and grants. They have given out 369 scholarships; most were given to college students from Hampton Roads.

The foundation awarded Tidewater Community College, Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Virginia, ACCESS College Foundation, Young Audiences of Virginia, Visions of Truth Community Development Corp., Horizons Hampton Roads, Crispus Attucks Cultural Center, Virginia Arts Festival, Ida Barbour Early Learning Center, and Smart Beginnings Western Tidewater.
