The Bertha Stebens Charitable Foundation has awarded $158,800 in grants. Recipients include Stebens Children's Theatre for capital improvement campaign with $2,500, MacNider Museum for puppet performances with $4,000, Crisis Intervention Services to construct garage with $1,500 and others.
The Foundation is authorized to make grants to any organization to which gifts of income or principal qualify as tax-free under federal estate, income and gift tax laws for the people of Mason City and Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.
