Eileen and John R. Anderson IV from La Jolla, South California has recently donated $25 million to Scripps Health to expand the hospital system's campus in the city.
The donation will be used for a 175,000-square-foot medical pavilion and outpatient clinic named for their late son John R. Anderson V, who died of cancer in 2004.
