Marin Sees Debut of Farmers Market on Wheels For Seniors in Need

The "Rollin' Root" truck is being put on the road by the Agricultural Institute of Marin.

The goal is to provide access to healthy food grown on local farms to provide nutrition education in low-income communities.

Up to 25 percent of Marin's residents age 60 and over say they are struggling to pay for housing, food and medications.

The county plan required every four years was augmented by a survey of 3,000 seniors.
