Baltimore Orioles Pledge $150,000 for Economic Development

The Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore's professional baseball team, pledges $150,000 to fund a new economic and community development initiative.

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce created the initiative called "Sarasota Tomorrow Next." The funding will include two of Sarasota Tomorrow Next's four programs: educational excellence and "ready-for-work" projects, and sports and recreational tourism development.
