A dose of creative thinking is what the world needs now, opined Pamela Noel, who writes for The Plumas News - an online edition of Feather Publishing's Plumas County newspapers.
Noel talked how she was stuck in her own definition of creativity as she detailed her 'creative' experiences during junior high.
According to Noel, being creative "is not something confined to a canvas or a stage. It is a way of seeing the world, of looking at life and its challenges in new ways."
She adds, "It is not bound by habitual behavior. It is the freedom to go beyond those grooves we have ground into our lifestyles, that have created many of our challenges — whether they be lack of economic freedom, climate change or social injustice."
Noel describes creative thinking as out-of-the-box thinking, looking at solutions and the way forward without the constraints of "that's the way it's always been."
