Aurora Partnership Proposes East Side Youth Center

Aurora officials have been trying to open a community center on the East Side for eight years.

Now, it appears the city is headed toward getting one open, thanks to a partnership with the Aurora Housing Authority's Northern Lights Development Organization.

Aldermen will vote Tuesday on the arrangement.

The center would include "recreational and educational programs for youth, and a big basketball program"
