"We know the journey will be long, but community foundations always play the long game in our quest for positive social change." That's the message from Aaron McRann, executive director of the Community Foundation of South Okanagan Similkameen, which is offering $80,000 in funding to help women, girls, Two-Spirits, and gender-diverse people living in the Canadian province of South Okanagan Similkameen.
The fund, part of a five-year effort to advance gender equality in Canada, is open to local charities that have "demonstrated a long-term commitment to empowering women, girls, Two-Spirit, and gender-diverse people through their mission, activities, or partnerships," per the CFSO website.
Organizations have until Oct. 31 to apply.
