"In Canada, 10 times more women than men have fallen out of the labor force since 2020 and women still earn just 76.8 cents for every dollar men make," reads a press release from the United Way of Simcoe Muskoka, which is partnering with Nancy Griffin's Women Worth and Wellness initiative.

That's why the founder of the initiative, which aims to inspire philanthropy and inform women on ways to enhance their personal health, wealth net worth, and self-worth, is hosting "Women for Women: Finish the Year Strong," a two-hour experience that's open to the public Nov.

7 in the Muskoka community of Creemore, Ontario.

The event will feature a speaker series, food and wine pairing, and a live auction.

"What a wonderful way to bring the community together to give back," says Griffin in the release.

The event is in alignment with the local Women United program, which is to advocate for change for women, girls, and their families, and "create a brighter future for women, girls, and their families," says Griffin.

In Canada, women earn just 76.8 cents for every dollar men make.

"The impact is even more significant when you consider the inequalities arising from intersecting factors such as race, culture, and economic security.
