Monarch Private Capital, an impact investment firm that backs clean energy projects in 26 states, has just added a new director.
Andrew Milhouse will head up the firm's renewable energy division, which "will focus on identifying market opportunities and prioritizing multi-level deals that create clean energy in local communities," the company says in a press release.
Milhouse, who has more than a decade of experience investing in the renewable energy sector, will "quickly make impact" at the firm, managing hundreds of millions of dollars in investments, says the company's managing director.
"Given the expected swift expansion of the renewable energy sector and our Company, Andrew's extensive expertise tax equity financing portfolio management will allow him to quickly make impact at Monarch," says Brent Barringer, the company's managing director.
Milhouse will be responsible for leading the firm's investments in wind, solar, and other renewable energy projects, as well as working to "modernize and enhance the business operations of the firm's renewable energy division," according to the press release.
Monarch is one of the largest investors in clean energy projects in the US, with more than $7 billion in investments in 26 states, the New York Times reports.
