People in the small town of Hillsboro, Wis., will soon have a place to go for massage therapy, chiropractor services, and a 24-hour gym.
The town has received a $250,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to expand the Hillsboro Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center, which now offers non-invasive care including chiropractic adjustment, laser therapy, and muscle therapy, the Hillsboro Tribune reports.
"Here at HCRC we treat a lot of acute patients, and this new space will allow our patients to get the treatment they need," says owner and Wisconsin native Brian Miller, who commissioned a high school art class to design a mural for the new building.
The grant will fund the renovation and expansion of the former Benjamin Franklin building, which will now offer massage therapy, a 24-hour gym, and chiropractic services.
"This project not only improves the health and wellness of Hillsboro residents but play a key role in bringing new visitors and businesses to downtown Hillsboro," WEDC's secretary and CEO said in a statement.
"Having health and wellness services locally will keep residents and visitors from driving to other communities to meet their needs," said city administrator Josh Finch.
