Massachusetts Gov.

Charlie Baker has signed a bill into law that will make it easier for cities and towns in the state to borrow money to invest in clean energy projects, the Boston Globe reports.

The so-called Gateway Cities Initiative, a collaboration between the state's Department of Children and Families, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and other groups, aims to make it easier for Massachusetts cities and towns to borrow money to invest in clean energy projects.

The bill, which was signed into law Tuesday, will make it easier for cities and towns to obtain financing for projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

According to a press release, the bill will also make it easier for cities and towns to obtain loans for projects that reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions.

The bill was signed by Baker, who said in a statement that the bill is an example of how the state is working to make its communities more resilient to the effects of climate change.

According to the press release, the bill will make it easier for cities and towns to obtain loans for projects that reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

It will also make it easier for cities and towns to apply for loans from the state's Community Climate Bank, which will provide millions in funding to help decarbonize affordable housing across the state
