Last Night a DJ Saved My Life and Change the Beat are among this year's recipients of Beatport Group's second annual Diversity + Parity Fund, which aims to promote diversity in the music industry.
The groups will receive $150,000 each to fund a wide range of initiatives, including festivals, conferences, writing camps, and queer film screenings, per a Beatport press release.
"The electronic music community is filled with vibrant groups of creative people who want to make our industry and world better," says Chief Community Officer Sofia Ilyas.
"It is our hope that their endeavors will resonate in powerful ways across our industry."
