A Massachusetts nonprofit that provides housing and services for women with intellectual and developmental disabilities has received a $5,000 grant to buy four ADA-accessible picnic tables, the Boston Globe reports.
"Being outside promotes overall wellness, light therapy, and engagement with others," says Rebecca Amuso, executive director of Riverbrook Residence.
The tables will allow the women to engage in outdoor activities and meals with each other, Amuso says.
Riverbrook is located in North Adams.
