The Joplin Regional Community Foundation's Philanthropic Society is putting its money where its mouth is.
With a deadline of Thursday, March 14, eligible nonprofits in Joplin, Webb City, and Carl Junction can apply for $150,000 in grants to help with issues such as housing affordability, child welfare, and barriers to work and prosperity, the Joplin Globe reports.
"With the potential to significantly impact barriers to work, child welfare, and housing challenges, the grants represent a beacon of hope and progress for the Joplin area," the foundation says in a press release.
