That's one of the reasons the real estate firm has been named to Fortune's list of the best companies to work for in the US.
The company, which focuses on affordable housing, historic preservation, and property development, has a culture that gives its employees freedom to make decisions and empowers them to "take immense pride in its growth, the quality of our work, and the impact we have on the communities we serve," Alexander says, per the Wisconsin State Journal.
One perk: half-day Fridays, during which the workday ends at noon on Fridays.
"Initially introduced as a summer perk, it was so well received that we decided to make it a permanent, year-round feature," says Alexander.
"This gives everyone the feeling of a long weekend, every week, contributing significantly to work-life balance."
