2024 Flinn Scholars to Receive Full Rides to Arizona Public Universities

"These high-achieving students will obviously impress you with what they include in their scholarship applications, but meeting them in person and learning about their passions and drive for a better Arizona is what's most inspiring," Flinn Foundation VP Anne Lassen says in a press release.

Lassen is referring to the 20 Arizona high-school seniors who have been awarded the prestigious Flinn Scholarship, which will cover the cost of tuition, fees, housing, meals, and at least two study-abroad experiences for four years at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona, the Arizona Republic reports.

The merit-based scholarship, the most competitive and prestigious in the state, is supported by the Phoenix-based Flinn Foundation in partnership with Arizona's three public universities.

The Flinn Scholars Class of 2024 plan to study a wide range of subjects, including electrical and mechanical engineering, global health, law, physiology, mathematics, biochemistry, neuroscience, political science, and creative writing.

The Flinn Scholars are typically in the top 5% of their graduating class and demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities at school and in their communities.

The application requires academic transcripts, standardized test scores, essays, and short-answer questions, and recommendations.
