Kids in under-resourced communities across Georgia will soon have more places to play soccer.
The Atlanta United Community Fund has awarded $815,000 in grants to seven organizations to build 11 new mini-pitches, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The project is part of the GA 100 campaign, which aims to build up to 100 mini-pitches in under-resourced communities by 2024.
The latest grants bring the total number of completed or in-development mini-pitches in Georgia to 30, while spanning across 22 different non-profit organizations.
