Ron Miner, also known as DJ Indiana Jones, "left an indelible mark on our Indianapolis community," the Broad Ripple Village Association's executive director tells the Indiana Capital Chronicle.
That's why the group and the BRIDGE Collective are hoping to raise $12,500 to paint two new murals in the areaone of which would feature Miner, who died in 2020, and another of which would feature local DJ Mpozi Tolbert, who died last year.
They've launched a crowdfunding campaign, and if they reach their goal before Sept.
30, they'll get a matching grant from the state's CreatINg Places program, part of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.
