Thames River Community Service Offers Unique Solution to Homelessness

The organization wants to keep people from being homeless, and help them find permanent housing while being self-sufficient.

In 2023 alone, the organization helped 287 people, Executive Director Michael Vaz said.

Thames River is the only organization of its kind in the county, it gives people "an opportunity to get out of the homelessness cycle," he said.
