A company called Azure Printed Homes has been making 3D-printed homes out of recycled plastic bottles for a few years now, and it's just doubled its production to meet what it calls the "growing demand for affordable and sustainable accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and small homes," Fortune reports.
The company repurposes about 150,000 plastic bottles into homes, which it says are eco-friendly and affordable for people who can't afford a home of their own.
"Each Azure 3D-printed home repurposes about 150,000 plastic bottles, offering a sustainable solution to both housing shortages and plastic waste," the company says in a press release.
