Renault is collaborating with EIT InnoEnergy, the EU's innovation arm supporting sustainable energy, to formally endorse the sustainable community initiative, FeliZiudad.
FeliZiudad was launched on World Happiness Day 2019 to help improve the quality of life of urban residents across Spain. The endorsements will be initially piloted in five neighbourhoods, before it rolls out nationwide in Spain later this year.
The EIT InnoEnergy endorsement will explore projects which are registered under the FeliZiudad sustainable community initiative with reference to the four 'pillars': energy and buildings; habitability and public spaces; sustainable mobility; and social cohesion.
According to Mikel Lasa, CEO of EIT InnoEnergy Iberia, collaborating with Renault provides them the opportunity to expand their mission of sustainability to give a better quality of life for Spain's residents.
